DrDisarray is an alter ego of Ajion — a character that surfaced while he was writing Nexus Wars, a novel about split consciousness.

Ajion is real — but Ajion is a manifestation of the psyche too. There are three layers of the mind to get to the real person: DrDisarray, then Ajion, then the author beneath them both. That is just how it is.

Living through those layers gave the author the clues the book needed: what it would feel like to carry one consciousness across many bodies, or to have several consciousnesses at play in one.

He is like everyone else — just pressing past the edge of what seems possible. The character didn't stay on the page. It kept going, and now it makes the music.

The records are an expression of this moment: an age of pure, absolute artistic freedom that never existed before, and a cyberpunk future that arrived within our lifetime — not gradually, but like a hurricane.

DrDisarray is one more stage of the psyche, evolving over time. For the person who plays him, that is what the name means.

Ajion Arts records the music. Retro Epic Empire releases it. Nexus Wars is the game on the other side of that door, and Ajion Corporation is the company that holds the projects.
